If you don’t fight , you can’t win – Eren Yeager .
The morning air felt the same. The school gate stood where it always had. The corridors echoed with familiar footsteps , and the morning bell rang just as it had for years.
As I walked into my Grade 11 , the smell of fresh textbooks filled the classroom. New notebooks lay neatly stacked on desks , waiting to be filled with formulas , mistakes and lessons. I realized , Grade 11 isn’t simply the next class. It’s about me growing into someone stronger.
Well , here I am. My name is Chetan. This isn’t just a blog for me. It’s my growth archive where I’ll record the wins , failures , and lessons I’m learning in life and also about myself.
I realized that Grade 11 is a battle against procrastination, self-doubt, distractions, and sometimes even yourself. Just a few months ago, I walked out of Grade 10 , securing 94 percent , thinking I knew what school was all about. Then Grade 11 humbled me.
Everyone says, “Grade 11 is much harder than Grade 10.”
They’re right.
The concepts go deeper. Teachers expect you to understand instead of memorise. Assignments keep coming. Tests seem endless. One day you’re solving problems, the next you’re finishing homework, and before you know it, another exam is around the corner.
My days are packed.
Wake up.
School.
Homework.
Revision.
Trying to stay healthy.
Trying to spend time with family.
Trying to learn something new.
Trying to sleep on time.
And then doing it all over again.
Some days it feels like there just aren’t enough hours.
I’m still figuring out how to manage my time. Some days I follow my schedule perfectly. Other days I don’t. I’m learning that discipline isn’t about being perfect every day. But Grade 11 isn’t only changing my study habits. It’s changing me.
I’m trying to become more responsible.
I’m trying to become more disciplined.
I’m trying to become a better student.
Most importantly, I’m trying to become a better person.
I know there will be failures. I know they’ll break me. But , I want to face it because I know it’s the failures that makes us strong.
Some days, I come home completely exhausted. All I want to do is lie down and forget about everything for a while. But I remind myself why I started. So, after taking a short break, I open my books again. I may not study for hours every day, but I make sure I keep showing up.
There will be moments when I wonder if I’m doing enough.
But just like the characters in Attack on Titan, growth doesn’t happen when everything is easy. It happens when you’re challenged. Every obstacle forces you to become stronger than the version of yourself from yesterday.
That’s how I want to see this year. Not as twelve months of stress, but as twelve months of growth. Just a shift in perspective 😉
I’ll share what I’m learning, the mistakes I make, the study techniques that actually work, the books I read, the challenges I face, and hopefully the progress I make along the way.
I’m not writing because I’ve figured everything out. I’m writing because I’m figuring it out.
Here’s to new beginnings, difficult chapters, late-night study sessions, unexpected lessons, and becoming a little better every single day.
Welcome to Grade 11.
Let’s see where this journey takes us. I’ll see you again with new updates.
Ciao
